The endemic Coco de Mer palm produces the largest seed in the plant kingdom. Found naturally only in Seychelles, the remarkable nut can weigh up to 15 kg (33 lbs).

Victoria, the capital of Seychelles, is often described as one of the smallest capitals in the world. Located on Mahé, it can easily be explored on foot and offers a charming mix of Creole culture, markets and colonial history.

James Bond creator Ian Fleming visited Seychelles in 1958 while travelling across the Indian Ocean. The islands' exotic landscapes are believed to have contributed to the inspiration behind some of his writings.

Seychelles is renowned for its unique biodiversity and is home to some of the world's rarest endemic species, including the Seychelles Scops Owl, once thought extinct before being rediscovered in 1959.
