Grand Barbe

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EXTREME 14KM | 415M | 4HRS EACH WAY

Take on one of the most challenging hikes in the country and journey to the untouched side of Silhouette Island. Along the way, you’ll encounter a stunning viewpoint, a pristine 2km-long beach, and the historic remains of the island’s second-largest village. Here, you’ll also meet its two enduring residents, living harmoniously in the jungle alongside a family of giant tortoises.

Hiking bag rentals

We offer hiking bag rentals for guests who prefer to explore without a guide. You may advise the activity Centre at least one day prior for reserving.

Empty bag – SCR 100

Packed bag – SCR 500; Includes a packed sandwich, pastries, fruit, soft drink, and water (quantity based on hike duration).
